Home School
Accident Medical & General Liability Program
Due to the unique nature of home school
programs and events, many insurance companies are reluctant to offer Accident
Medical and General Liability coverages to homeschooling groups.
Consequently, large homeschool organizations and small support groups alike have
experienced difficulty in finding reliable, affordable insurance for their
special events and/or their students.
While this type of coverage is widely available to large public and
private school organizations, homeschool groups have encountered barriers to
secure this protection. Homeschool groups needed a nationally recognized
organization to step forward to carry a Master Policy allowing participation and
coverage to its members. This is precisely what HSLDA has done to help the
homeschooling community.
This program offers a broad range of protection for both the small and the large
homeschool organization:
Homeschool support groups can cover their students for ongoing activities throughout the
year, including trips to parks and recreational facilities, libraries and gym
classes.
Homeschooling organizations hosting conferences can obtain coverage for their
events.
Best of all, this coverage is affordable for most groups. For example, a
support group can obtain Accident Medical and General Liability
coverage for all of their homeschool sponsored activities (including athletics)
held outside the home for less than $1.00 per month per child. An
Organization sponsoring a conference can obtain this coverage for $0.50 (fifty cents)
per day per attendee. Didn't find the answer to your question
