DIRECTORS & OFFICERS This program has been designed to cover all the Directors and Officers (D&O) of a home school organization. The directors and officers of an organization are considered fiduciaries and are responsible for managing the affairs of their organizations. They must act with due diligence in carrying out their responsibilities and in most jurisdictions, can be held personally liable if their negligence results in a loss to the organization. Directors and Officers liability insurance provides protection against breach of duty and actual or alleged wrong decisions made by their directors and officers of a home school organization. Just as Directors and Officer liability does not pay for bodily injury or property damage claims, Comprehensive General Liability insurance does not pay for breach of duty or wrongful acts. This optional coverage provide the additional protection needed by home school support groups. Coverage for Directors and Officers is optional. A completed application is required in order to obtain a quotation.
The Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) does not assume any of the insurance risk provided by the carriers. HSLDA is not involved in the administration of these plans including premium collection or adjudication of claims. HSLDA acts only in the capacity of the Master Policyholder for these Policies for its Members benefit. |
